I created this page on behalf of my sister, Jessica, who was killed by a drunk driver on November 21, 2010. She left behind her daughter, Brentley. I hope that awareness will be raised on the prominent issue of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
About Jessica
- In Memory of Jessica June "Wilson" Beatty
- North Belton Cemetery, Belton, Texas, United States
- She was a loving mother to her only child Brentley Brooklynn Beatty. She lived her life everyday to the fullest, never taking a single moment for granted. She attended Temple and Belton High during her high school years and began taking courses at Temple College focusing in the Arts. She was an award winning artist. Next to the Lord, her family was of most importance. She spent most of her days with her daughter, teaching and instilling in her the ways and the love of family and God. During the summer times, you would find her out at Lake Belton building castles in the sand with Brentley on the beach. She held no grudges and always tried to see the good side of life. She never met a stranger, always willing to help in any way she could whether it be a person or an animal. She had hopes to one day open a no kill animal shelter. She was baptized in the spring of 2007, giving herself to her Lord and Savior and spreading Gods word right up until he called her home.

First Post Long Overdue
Well I just created this blog a few hours ago. I couldn't sleep which is pretty much how it has been since Jessica was killed. In fact, nothing has been the same. I'm tired of nothing getting accomplished from this tragedy. So as this all progresses, I will keep you posted. And hopefully, justice will be served.

ReplyDeleteevery turn that this story takes, nothing good has come out of it,a family still together but sometimes so grieve Strictin we don't know what to do... 2pieces of our family our gone ,one to never return, and one being kept from us.... No justice system that seems to care,I know Jessica would take all this with just a smile and say forget bout it on the court/justice stuff, but at the same time I think she would want things to be FAIR!!!!!! And their not!!! But I know she would want that other piece of our family with us.. And hopefully she will be soon.. Jessica was an amazing person,I know heaven was ready for her beautiful soul, but we weren't ready!!!!!!! I love youJess, please keep love I'n our hearts and don't let it turn to hate towards a few indiviuales.......
What a wonderful thing for you to do in Jessica's memory.....
ReplyDeleteWhen we meet real tragedy in life, we can react in two ways-either by losing all hope and falling, or by using the challenge to find our inner most strength.... I pray that strength gets easier everyday for you and your family. I am sure Jessica would agree....
